The ladder leading Gulgong Terriers will endure the longest road trip of the season when they travel to Cobar.
In the corresponding clash to start the year, the local side did it comfortably at Billy Dunn 40-22. However, the competition newcomers have since recovered with some solid wins to sit just outside finals contention.
The Terriers can ill afford to drop a game, such is the congestion on the competition ladder.
At the same time the Roosters need to make a statement against a leading team if they are to consider themselves in the hunt for premiership honours in their inaugural Castlereagh League season.
Second placed Dunedoo host Binnaway this Saturday for what will be a vital match for both clubs and should attract a big crowd to the Swan’s Robertson Oval.
In Round 1 Dunedoo got their season off to a winning start, while the Bombshells went without a win after five rounds but now just four rounds later they sit just two points out of the top four.
The remaining games this weekend will see Gilgandra desperate to regain that winning feeling when they play host to old arch rivals Coonamble. And Trangie will be out to consolidate their proximity to the top four when they travel to Baradine for the Battle of the Magpies.
