It is not always the case a kind, genuine face makes sure they are by your side every step you take however for a local family business, their “little lion bear” does just that.
Prada of Kruger Carpets Mudgee, is perhaps the most kind hearted Labrador one could ever meet.
He is described as being polite, friendly, placid and calm.
Family business owners Melissa and Barbara Quinn were inspired to give Prada his name for like a handbag, Prada is always by your side.
At Kruger Carpets, he has held a permanent part-time position as a family warehouse supervisor and brand manager for four years.
He sees his shift through in the office but is sure to pop his head out of the door to greet customers - how about that for customer service.
Before he took up his current position, he worked as a Seeing Eye Dog in the central west for four years before he retired.
He now is a hot topic for customers as it is not usually the case you find a dog in a warehouse like Kruger Carpets.
“Customers absolutely love it. He is really gentle and extremely good with children because it is how he has been trained,” Melissa Quinn said.
After promotion on the business’s websites, Prada’s face has now become associated with the business making him a secondary mascot.
However, Barbara Quinn gave rise to the fact that Prada’s looks closely resemble their companies logo, a lion hence their nickname “little lion bear.”
When asked about the future for Prada in the carpet business, Melissa Quinn said he will be putting smiles on diles for many years to come.
“He will be at Kruger until the day he passes,” she said.
