Sly, shy and subtle, Missy of Huntington Estate Wines takes great pride in comfort as well as her need to please others.
Missy previously lived as a feral cat before owner of Huntington Estate Wines Nicky Stevens, adopted her.
Up until recent times, Missy occupied the position of being Vice President of Pest Control however is currently in retirement.
Marketing Manager Maddi McFarlane, said the friendly domestic short hair likes to occupy a spot in the warmth on her day to day basis.
“She is usually laying on my desk between the monitor and keyboard where there is a direct hit of the heater. Because she is getting older, she likes to keep warm,” she said.
Missy tends to shows off her friendly persona in front of others, but has a mischievous side when it comes to the workers.
He is a Labrador so anything he smells goes straight to the hips.”
“She is a con-artist. She is always going around to all of us of which there are 12 in total, and meowing trying to get food. She is usually successful and gets fed from everyone,” Ms Stevens said.
However, Missy is not alone at Huntington Estate Wines as she has a friend.
Toby the Tireless Labrador is young, full of life and sure to brighten your day.
The five year old Golden Labrador has been with Huntington Estate Wines since he was eight weeks old.
Ms Stevens said he is a real lover of life with an exuberant personality.
“Currently he doesn’t get to see customers all that much because he is very hyper but once he gets use to people, he will be with guests more often,” she said.
For those lucky customers who have had the chance to meet him, you will have noticed he is just genuinely happy to be out and about.
Ms McFarlane said his personality is everything you would want in a companion.
“He is silly, gorgeous with lots of energy. We all just love him to bits,” she said.
Toby has even had his time in the spotlight having made an appearance in the Wine Dogs Australia book. On a personal note of Toby’s, he is currently on a diet due to the nature of his breed.
“Right now he is actually on a diet because he will eat anything and everything,” Ms Stevens said.
“He is a Labrador so anything he smells goes straight to the hips.” Both Missy and Toby will be at Huntington for many years to come.
