The Swans rose as high as second place on the ladder, however after losing at home to Binnaway and then away to top-of-the-table Gulgong they’ve sunk to fourth. They’re equal on competition points with third placed Trangie – missing out on for-and-against – but have the Bombshells breathing down their necks for the last finals spot.
Dunedoo are last start winners against the Bears, taking out the corresponding match 30-24 in Round 4, but even though last year’s grand finalists are sitting second from the bottom, their 12 points means they’re not too far adrift.
The Swannettes will feature in the league tag match of the round with the Bearettes, currently both teams sit on 18 competition points sharing second spot on the ladder with Cobar, so a loss by either side could see them possibly relegated to fifth spot on the ladder dependent upon other results.
The Terriers will host Baradine in their first Boronia Cup defence. The match against the cellar-dwelling Magpies the perfect opportunity to push towards the minor premiership.
