She had her hair cut down to a number four at Cheveux Studio and plans to donate it to ‘Hair with Heart’ – a foundation for children in need of wigs.
During what could be an extremely confronting situation for some, Debbie remained calm while her hair was shaved off as she laughed and conversed with her husband and son who were both there to support her.
Debbie and her husband Terry are known for their family business, ‘Terry Hall Tree Services’ and are both appreciative of the ongoing support shown by their customers.
“I’d like to send a huge call out to all our wonderful clients who have supported our business over the years.”
“I’d also like to thank Natalie Walker for all her help and support in organising everything.”
Debbie’s ongoing charity will be dedicated to Can Assist and donations can be made PO Box 684 Mudgee with the reference of ‘Deb’, or at Cheveux Studio.
Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system that affect a type of white blood cells known as lymphocytes. These help fight disease in the body and play an important role in the immune system
The cancer starts in the white blood cells, or lymphocytes as it’s present in the bloodstream and can spread to different parts of the body.
It can occur at any age but it’s one of the most common causes of cancer in children and young adults aged 15-24 but is often treatable.
Jan Pirie from Can Assist Mudgee was at Cheveux Studio on Friday as she was there to not only support Debbie but make sure everyone knows about the organisation and how it can help people.
Can Assiste ensures that all people have access to cancer treatment and care by providing accommodation, financial assistance and practical support to people from rural and regional areas.
It ensures country people are given the same opportunities and treatment choices as those who live in city centres.
The Oriental Hotel is one of the many business where charity boxes for Debbie can be found. All donations above $2 made to Can Assist are tax deductible.
