After knocking off Lithgow, Ben Gregory’s Group 10 premier league side made easy work of Oberon, just one week after the Tigers announced themselves as contenders with a win over Orange CYMS at Wade Park.
This Sunday, the Dragons will shoot for three in a row when they visit Jack Arrow Oval to clash with Bathurst St Pat’s, a side that’s lost three consecutive games.
An interesting element to the game on Sunday will be Gary Reilly’s return to St Pat’s.
The playmaker made a mid-season switch from Bathurst to Mudgee and is now working his magic in the five-eighth role for the Red V.
Reilly was instrumental during Mudgee’s 36-18 win over Oberon on Sunday and Ben Gregory is stoked with how he’s travelling.
“Gary had been missing out over at St Pat’s and he approached us about having a game of football and he’s been great to have around,” he said.
“He came here on no promises he’d end up in the premier league but as the injuries have turned out he’s slotted in and, as long as he can give Nathan Orr plenty of ball, there’s points there.”
League tag looks to add to turnaround

Mal Goodman’s league tag side is also looking to string together three wins in a row but faces a huge test this weekend as they face league leaders Bathurst St Pat’s.
The last match between the two teams saw the Dragons go down 42-0.
If their recent form continues, however, the girls should be able to make more of a game of it this time around against St Pat’s.
18s aim to keep the streak alive
Not only is Bathurst St Pat’s juiced in the league tag side of things, but its under 18s side is red hot too.
However, Jono George’s mob will look to put a dampener on Pat’s excellent season while inching closer to an improbable finals berth in the process.
18s kick off at 12pm while first grade starts at 2pm.
