Kate Bush was a popular singer in the mid-seventies who came to fame with her album, ‘Wuthering Heights’. Organised by the Kandos CWA
the birthday party began with a welcome by Mary Kavanagh and then Helen Kristensen gave a history of moving the stones from the Ulan Quarry.
The placement of the stones is fascinating as they convey the significance of compass points, astronomical times and Wiradjuri history and geological importance.
The Wollemi Standing Stones Committee would like to stress that the stones are privately owned on private land.
After the ceremonies the party group settled in to party mode listening to Kate Bush’s songs.
