During Thursday night’s telecast of the Canterbury Bulldogs versus Brisbane Broncos NRL match, rugby league great and Channel Nine commentator Peter Sterling dubbed Gulgong’s Josh Jackson as his ‘favourite player’ after commending the second rower’s relentless work rate and commitment to the blue and whites.

Jackson, who was announced as the skipper at the Bulldogs at the beginning of 2018, has played all 20 games for his club during its disappointing six-win season and played a key role in Thursday’s 36-22 boilover against the Brisbane Broncos at ANZ Stadium.

The Mid-Western product carried the ball 17 times for 119 metres, while accruing 30 tackles.

Jackson ranks fourth among active second rowers for tackles made with a whopping 695 so far in 2018 and boasts a 94 percent successful tackle rate.
