If you’re seeking a cat that truly has nine lives, look no further than Oscar.
The Produce Plus resident has survived several scares throughout its eight-year life, including a snake bite, car accident and a large haematoma.
You know what they say, though… what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and even with a dodgy hip, Oscar happily parades around the store he’s lived in for his whole life.
Produce Plus, formerly known as Roth’s Produce, is a fitting location for Oscar as it’s got shelves to climb and customers to mingle with.

“He loves a pat,” said Produce Plus employee Mitch Roth.
“Kids around here love him. He’s always looking for attention and even gives the occasional hi-five.”
Mitch has been at the store throughout all of Oscar’s life and still has a hard time describing his unique personality.
“He’s a curious cat but he’s also stubborn...very stubborn,” Mitch said.
“He loves the customers, he just doesn’t like the staff. He’s always looking for attention, just not from us.”
The eight-year-old feline was initially recruited for its mouse hunting abilities but has grown into a vital business member.
“We always needed a mouser,” he said.
“Oscar was the survivor of three kittens and he’s been too lazy to run away.”
