23-year-old Chris Graham is the new kingpin on Perry Street as Scott Tracey recently stepped aside after 16 years at the helm.
While the name and venue won’t change much, Chris plans to bring a new feel to the establishment, starting with new menus and a new logo.
“We’re re-branding the Wineglass and we’ve got two menus coming out,” Chris said.
“Instead of the current breakfast and all-day menu, we’re going with a brunch and dinner menu which will make it a bit more contemporary than what it’s been in the last couple of years.
“We’re also going to change up the logo and make it a bit more colourful.”
The changes to the menu doesn’t stop there as Chris plans to switch it up once every three months to tie in with what fresh produce is in season.
“It’s more cost effective to have a seasonal menu with fruit and veg being in and out of season,” he said.
Chris also plans to make a concerted effort to work with and support local suppliers, making the Wineglass a Mudgee-fuelled location.
“We want to go local,” he said.
“We need to value local suppliers and work with them and advertise them.
“It’s a big thing right now. A lot of places are trying to stay as local as possible. Visitors want what Mudgee has to offer and that’s what we want to bring here.”
