It was a great way to wrap up the season which included thanking the committee and volunteers, families and the club sponsors.
Players were presented with a club gift of a polo shirt, with sponsors listed on them.
In a big year of increased numbers in all grades they also welcomed League Tag to the club.
In its inaugural season they ran teams in under 12s, under 14s and under 16s girls league tag, playing in carnivals across the region culminating in the playing of a Memorial shield match series against Mudgee.
Our under 6s Rugby League coach Tina Filippi enjoyed a busy year of new players and awarded the team with various awards for their talents.
The large under 8 side was coached by club secretary Candace Smith.
Terriers under 10s fielded two teams this season. Under 10 White coached by long term club coach and referee Roger Wisbey
Under 10 Blue scored a new coaching team led by Luke O'Connell and Travis Magro.
Under 12s were coached by club coaching stalwart Chris Hardy who took the team to the semi-finals.
Dion Hollow took charge of the under 14 Rugby league side which included a trip to Tamworth for the National Primary games
This season Gulgong under 16 combined with Coolah and Dunedoo to form a solid team coached by Coolah's Danny Miller and their own Chris Hardy. These boys travelled every week for training and showed solid commitment to their sport.
The Graham Hardin Award for most outstanding junior of the year was presented by the president Ray Pitt and last year’s recipient Zane W to the 2018 recipient Mack Ellis.
Gulgong Junior Rugby League was proud to welcome new players, ex league players and player’s siblings to the club for League Tag.
Coaches have worked alongside the league in weekly training sessions and skills development.
Uner 12s league tag coached by Natasha Hanley fielded many first time players
Under 14s coached by Jess Honeysett kicked off the league tag season well.
Under 16s league tag coached by Aiden Everingham and Kurt Ellis showed a lot of promise
With the AGM set for October they are keen to welcome new and returning volunteers to the club and look forward to a well-earned rest over summer before next season.
