Council is hosting two free workshops for local business operators in the Mid-Western Region on Tuesday, October 16 as part of NSW Small Business Month 2018.
‘Small and medium-sized businesses play an important role in their communities by offering a range of goods and services, creating jobs and driving economic growth,’ said council’s media release.
‘To support local operators, Council is hosting two free interactive workshops in Mudgee and Gulgong demonstrating how local businesses can employ global innovation strategies to grow their business.’
General Manager Brad Cam said Council is proud to offer the workshops free of charge after securing a $5000 grant through the NSW Government’s Department of Industry to help celebrate the local small and medium-size business community.
“I encourage all business operators to reserve their spot and learn from business experts free of charge,” Mr Cam said.
“The sessions are open to all businesses from longstanding family businesses to new startups. Attendees will learn how to develop innovative ideas to grow their business, build their brand and develop a support network.”
The workshops will be led by Digital Business Advisor Hayley Barrett and Business Advisor Melanie Gooneratne.
Hayley Barrett has over 10 years in the digital sector, working with the likes of Lexus and Toyota, and a string of successful start-ups under her belt; she is committed to helping small businesses master digital marketing to maximise their profitability.
The free workshops will be held on Tuesday, October 16, the first at Mudgee Golf Club from 7am to 9am (including breakfast) and at Gulgong Bowling Club from 6pm to 8pm (including dinner). Places are strictly limited and bookings essential.
