Council is offering residents the chance to safely dispose of potentially hazardous household chemicals this weekend.

From 1pm to 4pm on Saturday 13 October, residents can surrender their chemicals free of charge at Mudgee Waste Facility and from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, 14 October at Gulgong Waste Facility.
Hazardous chemicals that will be accepted include: solvents and household cleaners; floor care products; ammonia-based cleaners; pesticides and herbicides; poisons; pool chemicals; hobby chemicals; motor fuels; fluorescent globes and tubes; acids and alkalis; smoke detectors; paint and paint-related products; gas bottles and fire extinguishers.
Council’s Community Recycling Centre (CRC) is open all year round for disposal of low toxicity chemicals such as paints, car and household batteries, motor oils and cooking oils.
The CRC is located at the Mudgee Waste Facility and open 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.
