The entire Central West and Orana regions are still drought declared so this recent rainfall would be very welcome.
Mudgee received the most rain during the past 24 hours, with 18.6mm falling into the Bureau of Meteorology’s gauge.
Other centres received a little less, however, with 9.2mm in Parkes, 7.2mm in Bathurst, and 6.8mm in Cowra.
Rain also fell in Dubbo (5.6mm), Orange (3.6mm) and Lithgow (3mm), while barely any was recorded in Forbes (0.8mm), Wellington (0.6mm) and Young (0.2mm).
