“Priscilla”, the ram has been touring shops, fundraising in Kandos, Rylstone towns.
Thought up by Di Kearney, winner of the Rylstone Kandos Rotary Wollemi Award for community involvement (McGrath Foundation fundraising), “Priscilla” was built by Helen and Linc McKay.
While “Priscilla” was working in the Kandos Hotel, a group of Ulysses Club members from St George and Sutherland arrived.
The riders have been touring the Central West recently visiting Rockley and Hill End.
They donated to “Priscilla” as he proudly stood on the bar.
Rylstone Sunday Markets Go Pink
In support of the McGrath Breast Cancer Foundation, the Rylstone Sunday Markets raised money through the Rotary BBQ, stall fees and donations.
Held in the Globe Hotel beer garden the scene and weather were delightful.
Stalls were down on numbers due to the unpredictable weather. Globe Hotel, manager Phil Freeman was happy to help the Rotary crowd with the sausages.
Rotary exchange student, Henry Mafra from Brazil, also helped cook with the cooking.
A good crowd gathered around the beer garden as the morning was ideal for group gatherings.
Henbury Golf Club with Special Guests
Despite the widespread green pick, which is abundant since the local rains, the kangaroos are content to graze on the fairways of Kandos’s Henbury Golf Club.
