The winless A-League club will complete a 9000-kilometre week when it takes on the Western Sydney Wanderers at Glen Willow on Saturday afternoon, the Roar hoping to come away from Mudgee win their first win of the season following a tough 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Glory at Perth last week.
Brisbane’s opening three rounds have been plagued by sluggish starts and despite coach John Aloisi urging his side to lift its intensity from the opening whistle, back-to-back bumper trips around the country won’t aid the Roar’s cause.
“We know that it’s not going to be an easy game but we need to recover well and make sure that we are ready for that game in Mudgee,” Aloisi said after the Perth loss.
“It’s a different place that we’re going to but it’s going to be the same for them, they have never played there before.
“We need to go there and put in a performance that’s going to get us the three points.”
Roar coach John Aloisi has named an 18-man squad for Saturday's Remembrance Round clash against the Wanderers.
The Roar head to the Central West for Mudgee’s first A-League game with young attacking duo, Dylan Wenzel-Halls and Daniel Leck added to this weekend's extended squad, while talented midfielder Joe Caletti is again promoted for Saturday's match against the Wanderers.
