The Hyundai A-League round four clash brought in football fans from far and wide, a somewhat new experience for the town.
Vanja and Slav Vukojevic from Penrith have visited the Central West before, but admit they were stunned by the complex Mudgee is host to.
“I haven’t been to the Central West in about 10 years, it’s really nice,” Slav said.
“It’s amazing how close to the field we are, it’s so different,” Vanja said.

Making a two hour and 40 minute drive from Windsor to Mudgee, Leigh and Kylie held similar likes to the Vukojevic clan as both pairs had fallen in love for Glen Willow Stadium.
“The place is beautiful, we love it and it’s really friendly here,” Kylie said.
The couple have been fans of the red and black contingent since its inception, and when asked if they would win, Lee was feeling rather confident.
The complex is just great, we would love to see it [A-League] brought back here.

Holding a local perspective, Mark Ehlen said none other than how much of a positive effect the A-League has had on the region.
“It’s really good for Mudgee to have it brought out here,” Mark said.
Posed the question of who he was going for, Mark nervously admitted he was rooting for the Roar, but said he wasn’t there for the end result.
“I don’t really have a side, I just decided to come to see what it was like,” he said.
The crowd turn out sits on the lower spectrum of visits to the stadium, with the 2018 Charity Shield still in top position (9,133) followed by this years visit from the Dragons and Raiders (8,962).
