The school’s exhibition of HSC major works is currently on display at The Stables gallery, Mudgee, and includes pieces from students studying Visual Arts, Textiles and Design, Industrial Technology: Multi Media, and Society and Culture in 2018.
In officially opening the exhibition on Monday evening, Kandos artist Terry Burrows complimented the diversity of work on display and advised the students to enjoy the chance to show their work despite the understandable nerves they may be experiencing.
“An exhibition like this one is a really good example creativity and how it can expand, there are a lot of fine artists here practicing multiple disciplines and media. I think that the students and the teachers should be very proud of what they’ve produced,” he said.
“I’ve been exhibiting now for over three decades and I still have trepidations and get butterflies, which I’m sure some of the students are experiencing and hopefully also the joy of having your work out on the walls and showing it.”
The annual show will be open from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Thursday and 10am-2pm Friday, (November 13-16).
