School children from across the Dubbo electorate were tasked with designing a “Royal Christmas” themed card on the heels of the visit to the region earlier in the year by Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Mr Grant said this year’s Christmas card competition was the toughest yet with close to 400 entries from right across the electorate.
“When you get so many wonderful entries it is hard to pick a winner, so I extend a big thank you to Pippa & Alo for helping me select the winning design,” Mr Grant said
“The entries received were first class which made our decision to pick a winner a tough but enjoyable task.
“Zayden Berger from Narromine was our overall winner this year, with Connor Storey from Mudgee and Heidi Williams from Geurie taking second and third places.
“This year’s theme was a ‘Royal Christmas’ and the winning entry will appear on the cover of my card which will be sent out across the electorate and the state, I will even send one to Kensington Palace to the Duke & Duchess of Sussex,”
“I would like to thank each and every student who sent in an entry, their work was outstanding. The Christmas Card competition has been a highlight for me every year during my time in politics, and this year was no different.”
