I was on a bike ride this morning and reflected what a beautiful place Mudgee was to live.
Down into Lawson Park, admired the new paths, watched a willy wag tail feed a noisy youngster, under the road and along the river, ducks deciding whether it was time for breakfast or not.
Past the caravan park, still following the river, over the bridge and around the loop with the whimsical sculptures of Australia icons.
All the time I was saying good morning to people; the lady with a walker, the mum with a stroller and a small boy on his bike, runners and walkers, strollers and talkers, the ubiquitous dogs, happy to out.
And looking up there are the hills that seem to protect and encourage.
Thank you to our council which is making our town such a great place to get around.
Thank you to the people who enjoy all this area has to offer.
