The evening ambience combined with the festive spirit, Santa, record number of stalls, dining al fresco, and lots of people and young children made a perfect recipe for a lovely night.
Stall holders and organisers were so pleased they would like to repeat the experience, possibly in March next year.
The next community markets will be Sunday, December 16. The Rylstone Sunday Morning Markets from 9 – 1pm.
A community based event supported by locals so please come and wander down the main street stopping at all the shops, cafés, bakery and markets. Markets located at The Globe gardens and Historical Society grounds.
Legacy Christmas Lunch
Members of the Kandos Rylstone Legacy and Legatees enjoyed a Christmas lunch and party at the Kandos Hotel last week.
The hard, working committee, who raise money each year for legacy, deserved a little pampering.
Kandos High School News
Congratulations to students in Year 12 for 2018, the formal which was held on Friday, November 23 ends 13 years of schooling
for our students, we wish them the very best of luck for the future.
Thank you to photographer Matt Teague from Feather and Birch for the fantastic photos of our graduates.
Rotary Christmas Carnival
This year’s Rylstone Kandos Rotary Christmas Carnival was all about spoiling the children.
Free activities, under the ancient cooling oak trees, in the Rylstone Showground kept the kids busy.
Face painting, jumping castles and Pirate Ship, free Trike rides, Santa handing out lollies and lots of fun.
Kandos Scouts kept the yummy donuts coming and Rotary supplied the hungry with the sausage and steak sandwiches.
More than sixteen market stalls, combined with the Rylstone Markets, next door gave the parents an opportunity to do Christmas shopping.
The Serenity Trike Tours from Katoomba piloted by Max Austin were noted with senior Rotary members taking the opportunity of an “Easy Rider” experience.
The children were also thrilled with the rides.
