In the mixed open division, the Mudcrabs came sixth in the state, the highest finish to date.
Mudcrabs coach, Justin Gossage says coming in sixth place demonstrates the efforts of the team.
"We have worked extremely hard over the last few months and to finish sixth in NSW is a tremendous result. Our goal was to improve on last year and we have done that,” Gossage said.
"All the players have improved out of sight especially our younger players like Grace Quinn, Tony Forrest, Cody Lawson, Adam O'Connell and Lachy Hill. There wasn't one standout, we played together as a team and that is the most pleasing part.
We're a club from a small country town and to do well at the State Cup is a huge result. Most clubs know not to take Mudgee lightly and this weekend just further emphasised that point.

The Mudcrabs won their two qualifying games 6-4 against Monash and 13-3 to Macksville, placing them in the Championship (A-grade) Pool A.
On Saturday, Mudgee knocked off Japan, 9-3. The squad had eventual champions against Easts Roosters and were up 2-0 before going down 8-6 in a tight match.
The final game was disappointing, losing to Port Macquarie 11-2.
Mudgee came in third in the pool making the quarter-finals, but came up against a red hot Jerrabomberra outfit who skipped away with the crown in the last 8 minutes to win 11-4.
