The golf classic has raised a total of $160,000 in donations across the seven years it’s been run with all funds donated to local charities.
But, founder, Peter Mayson hopes to hit close to the $200,000 mark in 2019.
“I would really like to see us get close to the $200,000,” he said.
Any money raised from the event stays in Mudgee.

The three wise men - Peter Mayson, Ken Sutcliffe and Peter Sterling are busy working on getting the celebrities and don’t expect to have any names locked in until the final weeks of January.
“It’s quite an exercise for these guys to get the half a dozen celebrities to fill these sponsors,” Mayson said.
“For us [table of organisers] to organise it in ten weeks really does make time fly.”
The Celebrity Golf Classic tees off on the first Friday of February, coincidentally February 1, 2019.
We’re really looking forward to the next chapter and it looks like it’s going to be another fantastic year.
- Peter Mayson
“If we can top last year, we will be very happy.”
