Jordana Lucas, aged 20, of Lions Drive, Mudgee, was charged with ‘Possession of equipment for administering prohibited drugs’.
At about 12pm on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, police were patrolling the outskirts of Wellington when they spotted a vehicle travelling above the posted 100km/h speed limit.
They followed the car and suspected that the driver was trying to avoid police when they pulled into a car wash.
Officers noted that all three occupants were acting suspiciously when speaking with them.
Lucas had a glass pipe in her possession, which she conceded was for use of methamphetamine, and told police “I used it to smoke this morning and I’ll use it again this afternoon”.
After reading out her admission of drug use in Mudgee Local Court, Magistrate David Day said it’s likely she’ll re-offend.
“We’ll have her back in a few months’ time,” His Honour said.
