Marilyn Anne Grubb was reported missing to police in Broken Hill on December 30, after it is believed she left a property on Menindee Road, about 50km from Broken Hill in her Holden Adventra Station wagon bearing South Australian registration number S048BON.
Her daughter Anne-Marie Grubb, lives in Dubbo, and therefore police believe she could have possibly been travelling to the Dubbo region, or heading the other way to Adelaide to visit her sisters.
Anne-Marie’s best friend Kerryanne Henry said they were now hoping to get some exposure for the case in the hopes of finding Marilyn.
““She didn’t tell anyone where about’s she was going, which is very unusual for Marilyn. She has also been struggling with depression, so we thought earlier she may have just needed to get away for a bit. But now it’s been five days,” she said.
The family believe now, because it has been so many days and her phone isn’t turned on, that Marilyn has possibly had a car accident somewhere off road and is unable to contact them.
“We are just asking anyone that may be travelling to Broken Hill from Dubbo, or travelling to Adelaide, or anywhere in the area, to keep an eye out on the sides of the roads for her car.

“All it’s going to take is one person to see something, and then the police and the emergency services will know what direction they can go in,” Ms Henry said.
Broken Hill detectives are appealing for people who may have travelled along the Menindee Road between Broken Hill and Menindee on Sunday, and has dash cam footage to make contact with them, in the hopes that someone can assist police investigations in tracing Marilyn’s times and movements.
Police, supported by SES volunteers and aircraft have also conducted a number of search operations around the region, however no sightings of Marilyn or her vehicle have been made.
