The old two-storey building on the corner of Church and Meares streets was originally used for the nurses’ accommodation.
Community Health services were relocated in November to level two of the main hospital building. The Dental Clinic was moved to a new temporary building on Lewis Street, just behind the current emergency department.
In December Hutchinson Builders were named the main works contractor for the project.
