The empowering and transformational leadership development program for young adults from four Mudgee region schools, embarks on its 13th year with training for the community coaches on Saturday, February 9. The first session with the young adults will be held on Monday, February 25.
“We have once again attracted a talented group of volunteers who will be giving their time and experience to support the Year 10 students on their leadership and development journey,” program manager, Damian Walsh, said. “As well as supporting local young adults, coaches benefit from their own personal development and learning a coaching framework that can be applied to their professional and personal lives.”
A key aspect of the program encourages students to focus on the local community by implementing a community service project, commencing late May.
The final session of the 22-week program is the Showcase Expo of the young adults’ Max Potential journeys, based around a display of their community service projects, demonstrating their creative talents and personal growth. “We invite the community to attend the Showcase, so lock the evening of Friday 2nd August in your diary now,” Mr Walsh added.
