Williams’ We Can’t Be Beaten took out the Aussie Helpers Maiden Plate (1600 metres) ahead of Gulgong trainer Brett Thompsons’ Queen Isla.
The four-year-old gelding had a seventh race start in the race and cleared for a length win from Paul Messara’s (Scone) Artefiori.
Greg Ryan rode We Can’t Be Beaten and had the gelding placed in behind the speed before kicking clear in the straight.
“He was too good for those,” Ryan told Williams as he returned to the scales.
He’s still learning, been a bit green and a bit of a slow learner.

The future for We Can’t Be Beaten is to get over the 2000 metres.
Meanwhile, George Two claimed the second win of the day for Williams when the gelding won the GJC Summer Cup (1600m).
Williams had been a little concerned that the track might “be a little too firm for him”.
Those fears were allayed when Ash Morgan had him a little closer than normal before surging to a good win from Troy O’Neile’s (Tamworth) Bianbitten.
It was Morgan’s second win in three rides on the gelding.
“He jumped good today and I rode him a little closer than his last two starts,” Ashley Morgan said.
“He travelled good.”
Williams said Morgan and her gelding had formed a good combination.
“He seems to suit the horse,” she said.
The horse goes good for him. He rode him well and the horse responded.
