Jasmine Louise Oakenfull, aged 32, of Lang Street, Mudgee, was charged with 'Dishonestly obtain property by deception' three times between July and October.
On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, her debit card was declined when she attempted to pay for $40 of fuel at a Mudgee service station. She said she would return and pay cash but didn't.
Then on the evening of Sunday, August 26, her card was declined again this time attempting to buy $30 of fuel at a Gulgong station. After telling the attendant her boyfriend would pay for it she left, a number of weeks later she was buying other items at the station and the same attendant mentioned that the outstanding amount still hadn't been paid.
Oakenfull returned to the Mudgee station on Monday, October 15, and was declined when she tried to buy $70 of fuel, which happened once more after she claimed she'd called her boyfriend to transfer money into the account. She was told not to leave and when she went back outside to talk on her phone she entered her vehicle and drove away.
She was also charged with driving while disqualified three times within the space of a fortnight.
On the afternoon of Thursday, November 1, Oakenfull was driving along Rifle Range Road when she spotted the police and parked the vehicle. A check of her licence revealed that she was disqualified for three months from October 17.
She was stopped by police in Menchin Street just days later on Tuesday, November 6, and again in Byron Place on Wednesday, November 14, on the latter date she admitted that she had been told on several occasions not to drive.
Oakenfull was listed to appear in Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday, January 9, where a warrant was issued for her arrest when she failed to appear.
She was brought in the next day where she was placed on a 12-month bond and disqualified for a further six months.
