Jamie May Bailey, aged 30, of Tucklan Street, Dunedoo, pleaded guilty to the charges ‘Common assault (domestic)’ and ‘Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic)’, in Mudgee Local Court last Wednesday.
At about 1pm on Friday, October 19, 2018, the victim and her friend were walking along Bolaro Street when Bailey was driving past.
She stopped the vehicle, got out and started yelling threats.
The victim walked away and Bailey pulled her hair and slapped her. When she attempted to walk away again Bailey charged at her and she ran away across the road and hid.
The victim’s friend filmed the attack, which was also captured on the supermarket’s CCTV.
Magistrate David Day noted the public nature of the incident and said, “I imagine the community became very aware [of the dispute]”.
