Violet Dolanski of Adams Street, Mudgee, pleaded guilty to charges of ‘Common assault (Domestic)’ and ‘Contravene prohibition/restriction in Apprehended Violence Order (Domestic)’.
At about 4pm on Sunday, December 2, 2018, were walking along Gladstone Street, Mudgee, near Blackman Park, while arguing and yelling at each other.
The victim of these charges began acting strangely and started walking away, Dolanski threw a rock which bounced off a tree in the nearby park and hit him in the back of the head.
This incident put her in breach of the AVO that was in place at the time.
Upon reading the police facts submitted to the court Magistrate David Day commented, “it’s messy isn’t it? But I suppose matters of the heart are.”
And added that he wasn’t considering a prison sentence because “the facts are somewhat novel” and “what violence was offered was reckless, being the rock”.
