A 22-YEAR-OLD man remains in hospital in a critical head injuries following an overnight incident on a farm at Hargraves.

Emergency services were called to the property at 4am on Saturday with reports a man had serious head injuries following an incident on a vehicle.
Mudgee Duty Officer Inspector Mark Fehon said the man had fallen from the vehicle and landed heavily causing significant head injuries.
“Police and ambulance were called and he [the victim] was airlifted to Westmead Hospital,” he said.
Insp Fehon said police have commenced an investigation and have spoken to a number of witnesses who were on the property at the time.

“It is not known if drugs or alcohol were involved,” he said.
“At this stage we don’t know the circumstances and whether the person jumped [from the vehicle].”
The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and alcohol testing.
Insp Fehon said the victim was in a critical but stable condition when he was airlifted from the property.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
“This is a timely reminder that on private property that you’ve still got to adhere to the road rules,” he said.
“Any incident on private property will be investigated by police.
Police said the injured man was not from the Central West.
