Police in the Orana Mid-Western LAC are reminding residents of the importance of locking your vehicle if left in the open during the day or overnight.
Police say that a number of cars in the Mudgee region have recently been broken into while parked out the front of the owner’s premises.
Mudgee Duty Officer, Inspector Mark Fehon says car owners need to be vigilant.
“There has been some motor vehicles broken into of the last couple of weeks in the Mudgee Area. Most of these vehicles have been left open while parked outside their homes,” he said.
“Police would like to remind car owners to lock their vehicles while they are parked outside their homes at all times. Doing this would prevent the opportunity as persons committing these crimes target vehicles left open.”
