Three inspirational local women will be guest speakers at Mudgee's International Women's Day celebration next Friday. West Virginia born author, Summer Land, lives in Mudgee and her 2013 book Summerlandish: Do As I Say, Not As I Did, prompted numerous writers' and readers' festival appearances across Australia. Today, she writes a column in the Mudgee Guardian and is a regular contributor to The Tot. Her work has also been featured in Elle Australia, Cosmopolitan Australian, Mamamia and Women's Health. I Now Pronounce You Husband and Expat is her second book. International award winning filmmaker, Jessica Nipperess, loves telling stories and bringing them to life on screen has become a deep passion. At 13-years-old she's already a committed and inspiring filmmaker, having been a finalist in TropFest Jr twice and this year taking out third place, she has also won awards in other film making competitions and made many films just for fun. Inspiring local woman, Donna Redding, has an amazing international profile. Working in Australian Indigenous communities in Micro Finance and Enterprise Development, Fair Trade, focusing on communities in great need, buying and designing products with an aim to trade out of poverty in places such as Philippines, Thailand, India, Sri-Lanka, Cambodia, and China. Noble Endeavour’s mission is to empower and equip individuals, families and communities to create solutions to poverty, injustice and difficult life circumstances. And will be working both in Australia and Internationally. She is also a qualified life coach and now studying again to be a nurse.
