The fishing competition is an event for people of all ages and abilities.
Mid-Western Regional Council and Local Land Services host the annual family fun day, sponsored by Mudgee Camping and 4WD,
which allows the community to be involved in the care of their local area by removing pests from Putta Bucca wetlands and Cudgegong River.
Registration is free and can be made on the day.
A free sausage sizzle and drinks will be available from 11.30am.
Entrants over 18 years must have a fishing license and comply with the NSW fishing rules.

All native fish caught on the day must be released.
