Mudgee ambulance station was moved from its old location at 71 Gladstone Street to a new premises at 87 Lions Drive last week.
Mr Beaton said the shift has not affected the coverage of ambulance services, but it has caused inconvenience to staff.
"My understanding is that ambulance vehicles don't have undercover parking and mechanics don't have the area to do any works to vehicles," he said.
"It is nothing more than a makeshift arrangement. More pre-planning would have been good."

A spokesperson at NSW Ambulance said Mudgee station has not been condemned and is undergoing remedial work and improvements to keep in line with updated building code requirements.
"The search for a replacement site commenced in February this year, however, a site was not able to be secured until a building tender was awarded," the spokesperson said.
"Once secured, 14 days notice was provided with the station operating from a commercial site in Mudgee.
"Mudgee ambulance station is running at the operational capacity required and all staff will be based out of the new building when starting and completing their shift."
