"It's so important that students know where their food comes from, learn sustainable practices in gardening and life skills in preparing and cooking nutritious meals," principal Caron McDonald said. "Kerry from Bunnings came armed with veggie seedlings, fertiliser, gardening gloves and new gardening tools and helped students plant the seedlings into our prepared veggie beds. Mr McDonald was also on hand to offer his expertise. We are looking forwards to watching the seedlings grow and to planning lots of yummy dishes we are going to cook in the colder months at school using them as part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program."
