Gulgong Residents for Responsible Renewables (GRRR) say that the planned facility - which has three stages - will be built on prime agricultural land, seven kilometres north west from the township.
Furthermore, they believe the panels will be visible from adjoining land and from neighbouring residential properties, along with the Castlereagh Highway and passing traffic. And maintain they're not against solar energy but question the suitability of the location.
Residents received notice of the project in late March.
The news coming as the construction wraps up on the soon to be commissioned Beryl Solar Farm, which is located nearby.
GRRR will be holding the meeting at the Gulgong CWA Hall, Herbert Street, at 6pm on Monday, April 15, 2019.
