Craig Jon Swindle, aged 37, of Clarinda Street, Parkes, was fined $900 and disqualified for six months to be followed by a 24-month interlock period.
At about 9.57pm on Friday, February 1, 2019, police were following a vehicle along the Castlereagh Highway heading towards Mudgee from Gulgong.
They noticed several times that it got close to the kerb before correcting.
The vehicle then crossed onto the opposite side of the road and corrected harshly as another vehicle approached.
When the officers stopped Swindle they noticed that he appeared to be moderately affected by alcohol, he was taken to Mudgee Police Station where a breath analysis of 0.127 was recorded.
He submitted a written plea of guilty to the charge, his second mid-range offence in the last five years.
When dealing with the matter in court, Magistrate Jacqueline Trad said, "the reading, the manner of driving and the prior offence, raise the objective seriousness of the offence".
