Painters at Mudgee will be holding an exhibition and sale of works at St Mary's Parish centre. Friday, May 10 from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday, May 11 from 9am to 12noon.

Grattai CWA is hosting an Endangered and Pest Species Day to be held at the Grattai Hall on Wednesday, May 15 commencing at 10.30am. Free to enter competition. Mudgee Valley Writers are currently hosting a free to enter writing competition for people living in the Mid Western Council area.

The Council have sponsored the competition and it is open to all age groups. The theme is "local". Word count up to 2000 for prose or 48 lines for poetry. Awards for both prose and poetry sections: first $100, second $75, third $25 plus certificates at Judges' discretion.
