In a bid to launch the program, the St George Illawarra Dragons have partnered with the Queensland Reds and GWS Giants with the grants program seeing St. George Bank award up to $100,000 to remove barriers to participation and encourage clubs and individuals to begin their sporting journey.
General Manager for St. George Bank Retail Ross Miller says people are at the centre of the bank who endeavor to support communities in any way possible.
We know Aussies love to play sport and support their favourite team. Community is at the heart of what we do at St. George, and we are proud to offer this opportunity to help everyday Aussie families and the local clubs they support to grow.

St George Illawarra Dragons Women's Premiership back-rower Kezie Apps says the program is a way to support those who continuously support teams such as the Dragons.
"One of the best parts of playing for the Dragons is we have the opportunity to give back to the people who have supported us along the way. When we run onto the field, the first thing we see is the crowd their to support us," Apps said.
We can't wait to see the nominations and give back to the community that gives us so much.
- Kezie Apps
The program is a great way to get involved with the rugby league spirit and nominate a deserving friend or someone in your rugby league community who could do with a helping hand.
- St George front-rower, James Graham
Applications and nominations are open until 5pm (AEST) on Monday, May 13.
