The National Quality Standard (NQS) assess seven variety of areas incorporated in education and care services across Australia that sets a national benchmark for the quality of learning for children.
Achieving an 'Exceeding' rating in all areas is something Mudgee Preschool director Rosie Gibbs attributes to not only her teaching staff, but many others involved in the service.
"We're always working towards working better so it's a credit to the staff, families, community and children to get that rating. It is a reflection of good team work," Ms Gibbs said.
I'm really proud of everybody. I think it's a testament to how hard everybody works, it's well deserved.
- Rosie Gibbs
"I think it's a good reflection of what we do."
There were many reasons why the preschool was awarded with the result they achieved, with special mention of positive and responsive relationships highlighted.
The preschool was commended on the positive and responsive relationships with children, their families and the community.
"The commitment to quality by the Board of Management and all staff was also highlighted as being exceptional.
"It's difficult to get a rating of exceeding the standards in every single area."
While the mark is something to be proud of, Rosie says the preschool will continue to thrive on improving on teachings.
We continue to do the best work that we can whether we have that rating or not. We continue to look for ways to improve and keep on working towards improving whatever we do.
"In that regard, it doesn't change what we do. It's just nice to have our work acknowledged."
