Just under 100 riders set off at 5am to take part in the main 80 kilometre event on the Sunday morning, while there were 37 entries in the 40km Intermediate ride which commenced at 6.30am.
The overall ride winner was Con Bouzianis who completed the course in 4 hours, 25 minutes, who also placed first in the heavyweight category.
Results:
- First middleweight was Debbie Pevy
- First lightweight was Fia Hasko- Stewart
- First junior was Mackensie Daley
It was Alan Mackinder who earned the prestigious Ray Gooley Memorial Award for Best Managed Horse.
On the Saturday afternoon, there were 41 entries in the two introductory rides of 10 and 20km.
These riders had to brave the unpleasant winter-like conditions but had a 100 per cent successful completion rate.
