One of Australia's most acclaimed and widely-exhibited landscape painters has won the Peabody Wilpinjong Prize for Hanging Art in the Art Unlimited competition held in Dunedoo.

Graham Cox was awarded the $3000 prize for his oil on canvas titled 'Stormy Pastoral'.
Judge Sarah Gurich, director of Bathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG), chose the work from 220 entries in the competition's hanging art category.
In selecting it as the winner, she said, "the drama of this pastoral scene, with its foreboding storm clouds, monumental landscape, and orange glow of the setting sun, is rich with metaphor and meaning".
Cox's work, which is described as "romantic realism", is represented in public and private collections both in Australia and overseas.
The Maitland resident's paintings have been finalists in the Wynne Prize - Art Gallery of NSW - on five occasions, enhancing his reputation as one of the country's most accomplished landscape artists.
The $3000 Art Unlimited Photography Prize was awarded to 21-year-old Claire Moorhouse from Cobbora for her work 'Time Out', a compelling portrait of her grandfather.
Judge Jenny Davidson chose the work from 56 entries and described it as "a well-seen image and story of life on the land".
And She went on to say, "this image caught my attention from the start. I kept coming back to it and felt like asking the subject: how's it going?"
Clair is currently completing her final year of a Bachelor of Photography and Graphic Design at Charles Sturt University, Wagga.
The $3000 Art Unlimited Ceramics Prize was won by Moraig McKenna of Gundaroo for her salt glazed work titled 'Basket', commended by judge Geoff Thomas for its simple elegance.
Moraig works from Old Saint Luke's Studio in Gundaroo where she specialises in making wood-fired ceramics displayed in the gallery she shares with fellow potter Ian Jones.

- Janace Holmes Family Memorial Prize - Geraldine Taylor, Peakhurst, 'In Dawn's Gentle Light';
- The Dunedoo Rural Hardware People's Choice Prize will be announced at the end of the exhibition.
The Art Unlimited exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday, May 26, from 9.30am to 4pm, with the exception of the final day which closes at 3pm.
