The lady Falcons encountered an unbeaten RSL side in another challenging match, however were able to take a number of positives out of the loss, having shown improvement in the weeks since their last clash with another of the grade's leading sides Macquarie United FC.
The second game of the day saw the Falcons men taking on Newtown Demons in what has become an enjoyable rivalry for the two clubs.
The home side opened the scoring through midfielder Michael West after 20 minutes, just after their leading goal scorer Matt Cremona went down with a foot injury. He would later return to the field.
Leading 1-nil at halftime the Falcons knew they would need more goals to keep Newtown at bay and they would produce a second half blitz.
A pair of goals to Cremona and James Rogers' first of the season, stretched the lead to a more comfortable 4-nil, before Sergio Cortes Gomez would strike for Newtown to put the visitors on the board.
But the Falcons were on a roll, finishing the match with another goal to Rogers and a maiden goal to James Stephenson to put the Demons to bed at 6-1.
Falcons goalkeeper Greg Reid credits his side's defence and counter attack for the big win to keep their undefeated run alive, having disposed of MUFC 3-1 the week prior.
"Our defence early on set up for a big game and our counter attack was critical. For four years I have said our side has one of the best, if not the best, counter attack in the DDFA competition," he said.
"We just played a really well rounded game on the weekend and we hope to continue this sort of football all season.
"Full credit to the Townies boys as well, they came across for the game and played some really great football and our club appreciates that from them."
Both Falcons teams will enjoy a weekend off for a general bye before returning for another double header at Billy Dunn on June 2.
The women's side host Westside Panthers, which will commence the second half of the year for their grade.
While the men's match that day will be a top of the table clash, with both the Falcons and visiting East Dubbo United both undefeated so-far for the season.
