It was the club's women that scored the best result of the day for the red, white and blues, with an impressive 36-26 win over Narromine. With Christina Cooper and Chantel Burgess grabbing a pair of tries each, and Amy Ryan and Helen Blackmore crossing as well.
However, the visitors were too strong in the men's matches.
The Gorillas dominated first grade 34-3 after leading 22-3 at the break, although the home side did show improvement on the last time they met the defending premiers.
Earlier, the Wombats Seconds were squeezed out late in their match which finished 26-22.
The seniors head to Bathurst this Saturday to take on CSU for what won't be an easy trip with the students looking strong in 2019.
In the juniors; the 17s received a forfeit from Emus; the 15s went down to competition leaders Forbes 26-12; the 13s downed the combined Cowra/Canowindra side 20-12.
