25/6 Update
Council has posted an update on the delay with the Gulgong Adventure Playground on their Facebook page. They say the facility should be ready in time for the July school holidays.
Earlier
Over on the Gulgong Community Page Facebook group, some commenters have been wondering what the status of the 'Adventure Park' is at this time, June 2019.
The Dubbo MP at the time, Troy Grant said the purpose-built facility, to be built at the Rotary Park on Nandoura Street, would include interactive play equipment, shelters, landscaping, picnic tables, a youth hub with wi-fi and an upgrade to the existing skate park.
In November 2018, the upgraded Gulgong Skate Park was opened and given the tick of approval by the users of the park.
The Mudgee Guardian reached out to Mid-Western Regional Council for an update on the Adventure Park and if there is any hold up or delay.
In an email response, a spokesperson for Council said:
Council is awaiting a final piece of equipment that has been delayed in the manufacture process. Council will advise as soon as the park is available for play.
So there you go, there isn't a confirmed open date yet for the park while Council waits for a piece of equipment that has been delayed to arrive.
