"For my project I am going to be working with Gulgong Scout Group and Red Hill Environmental Education Centre to revive the old Scout Hall," the Gulgong High School Year 10 student said.
"I chose this project to help with the lack of recreational activities for youth in Gulgong.
"If I could get the community together to clean up the old Scout Hall in Gulgong it can be used to run things like boxing, yoga and many other activities such as holiday programs for kids in Gulgong as it is a recreational area. It would be a good thing for my hometown and is something that needs to be done so it can be used for years to come."
Abilee has organised a working bee to clean up the Scout Hall on June 29.
"If anyone would be interested in volunteering to spend an hour or two helping us out it would be greatly appreciated, all are welcome," she said.
- The old Gulgong Scout Hall working bee is on Saturday, June 29, starting at 9am, message Abilee on 0477 349 080 if you're coming. And check up on the Red Hill Environmental Education Centre Facebook page.
