June 22 not only marked Steve Smeed's, aka 'Studmuffin', 151st game, but also the last time he would take to the field in a batties outfit for the next two years.
Smeed first put on the red and blue colours back in 2012, and since then, has performed in both first and second grades.
Smeed fought back tears as he told the Mudgee Guardian there was no better way to walk away than with a 48-0 victory over the Blayney Rams.
It was a pretty emotional one, the last one for the club.

"It was an awesome way to go out."
When asked how his experience was with the Wombats, Smeed says it was much like having a second family.
"It's just a great family club, everyone bonds together," he said.
The 'Stud' and his family will travel to South America on Monday, June 24 for work opportunities.
"Just keep it up batties until I see you again in two years," Steve said.
As soon as you start playing for them, everyone becomes your family.
