Why should we be surprised that the recent election results were symbolic of a society scared to accept facts, instead "living in the moment" for short term gain over long term crisis.
Even the NSW Premier was heard to say "we can have it all" when clearly we live in a Global society of immense and rising inequality in; As Mr Dick Smith would say "a finite planet."
None more so than those at the forefront of the Climate Crisis such as Bangladesh, our neighbours in the Pacific Nations' and Farmers' across Australia.
Whilst Australia voted to sacrifice the future from "a policy free, scare campaign" it is likely that maturity might enter the polemic here with influence from foreign nations' such as Japan and Norway as they plan to exit the utilisation of fossil fuels and electric vehicles become the majority on our roads.
Worse still to consider Nuclear power which is currently twice as expensive compared to renewables and sites such as Fukushima are now in a thirty six year rehabilitation process.
